My husband and I are trying to plan a trip of about a month (or a little more) to Vietnam-Burma-Thailand (a bit flexible with the destinations) from the end of September to the end of October. We got a lot of mixed information about the weather and we would like to get some insights and recommondations from people that traveled in these areas at this time...
Thank U ...
My boyfriend and I will spend 12 days in Thailand between the end of July and the first week of August: we are planning to spend 4 nights in Bangkok (visiting Ayuttaya as a daily excursion), then moving to Kanchanaburi (1 night).
After Kanchanaburi we would like to spend some beach days: we were looking at Prachuab Kiri Kan and the surrounding area. We are looking for a quiet relaxed place. Is it adviceable to take anti malarian tablets, as this area is next to Burma border? We also plan to ...
Hey so I'm in Cambodia now, heading to Vietnam soon, but when I get there I'll have more than 30 days before my flight. Getting info on Vietnam visa prices is very difficult. I'm wondering if I should just extend my Cambodian visa and stay here longer, then go to Vietnam for 30 days, or should I get a 45 day visa for Vietnam (is that an option for a Canadian and how much?).
Thanks guys. ...

Our plan is to fly into Bangkok and out of Bali with the goal of visiting Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia.
I realize July/August begins the rainy period for Thailand/Cambodia/Vietnam but is nice in Malaysia and Indonesia for the most part. Our plan was to stay in Bangkok and from there spend a few days in Chiang Mai, back to Bangkok, then to Ko Kut/Ko chang, on to Cambodia and Sie ...

I'm going travelling at around the end of August for 4 months and it will most likely be solo travelling. I'm a little nervous but also very excited. I'm pretty well travelled and adaptable but I've never travelled by myself.
My plan at the moment is to go to Thailand, Burma, Laos and possibly northern Vietnam too.
The type of travelling I'm looking to do is one filled with culture and experiences. I am not looking to just party and visit the well-travelled areas. I'm looking for re ...
Hey guys, needed some information urgently. How long does it take to get the visas for Laos and Cambodia from their respective embassies in Bangkok? Is getting it the same day a possibility? Thanks in advance ...

Hello Guys, we are couple in our mid 20´s heading to SE Asia for our honey moon!
We are used to travel here in Brazil, mainly to beach locations. So it will also be a new experience for us to be going to non-beach places.
I know the concept of "less is more", but like I told you above, we usually travel to beach places, as we really like this. So I am a little bit affraid, we will get bored in some cities if I stay too long...
We are interested in:
- Local Culture, people and food
I'm planning a 3 week trip to Thailand for next January with my beau. I know we could spend 3 full weeks in Thailand banging around, but while we're in the region it is so tempting to check out other countries. We are looking at both Laos and Cambodia as possibilities, but wanted to get some thoughts from other travellers about the major cities in these countries. Are there some must-see sites or huge advantages in going to one over the other? Is there anything you wish you had kno ...

I have a six-week trip planned with my girlfriend from 23 May until 4 July, starting and finishing in Bangkok. Were both in our early twenties, although not into the whole party scene, more interested in seeing some wildlife, temples, and key sites.
I feel like I have done a fair bit of research, however, this is both our first 'extended' (more than a week) trip and neither of us has been to Asia before. I have drawn together my first plan and would welcome any comments/opinions. My mai ...
I see a lot of requests for extensive itineraries for folks looking to see it all in a month.
This one is different.
I'm seeking some solace for a few months to work on myself, read, meditate and become a better human, and leave wherever I go better than how I found it, in whatever way is allowed by my Visa.
I could do this in the States, or anywhere really. But it's also an opportunity to see a part of the world and a culture I've never experienced before. For many of us these opportunities ...
Some family ( I with my wife and son ( he will be around 1.5 years old at a time) plan to take a longer vacation and spend approx. half a year in SE Asia.
By now plan is to start at the end of this year no specific date set will see when the cheapest plane tickets show up But I would appreciate some advice on what you would suggest and how would you split this time. At the beginning we thought to make 1 month per country - Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Philippines. But ...
So, after a 2 week holiday in Thailand in Feb I well and truly caught the Asia travel bug, got home, quit my job and am about to embark on my first solo backpacking trip!
I'm trying not to plan much as I want to be free and play it by ear but I'm also thinking it might be good to have a rough idea of a plan... so, here are my thoughts, any advice greatly received
I fly into Bangkok mid April and that's all I have planned, my first question is will I have problems getting in if I've not booked ...
I'm gonna be in Ko Pagnan in April and I have a booking that can't be cancelled and a visa that can't be extended so I need to find the quickest way to go to Malaysia.
I already know all the train info but I can't find anything about buses or minivans. Can you help me with this?
Thank you! ...
