How do I get from Buriram to Roi Et?

I'm looking to go from Buriram to Roi Et. I have searched numerous bus lines and cannot find a bus. The only way I found so far is. Buriram to Khon Kaen. Khon Kean to Roi Et. That makes it a very long trip. I know I could probably take a taxi but it could be very expensive.
Any advice would be appreciated.

kleener,
based on my experience in Thailand that there is almost always a bus going from where you are to where you are going, i would be very surprised if there were not some sort of direct bus from Buriram to Roi Et. but i suspect that route would be more of a second or third class bus line, which wouldn't necessarily be available for advance online reservations.
will you have a chance to check it out when you arrive in Buriram? i ask because what i frequently do is have a look around the bus station as soon as i arrive in a new place, to take a break, get my bearings, and figure out which options are available to get to my next destination, including class of bus, departure times, and if advance reservations are accepted.
travel agents are also a good way to find out what options are available, so you can pick the one that best fits your timetable and budget. the extra cost of using a travel agent, if any, has usually been well worth it for me. perhaps you can check with one as soon as you arrive.
as long as you aren't travelling on a major holiday, buying your bus ticket the day before or even the morning you travel is usually not a problem, particularly for the less visited destinations.
when are you going? how long will you be in Buriram? cheers.

Thanks for the information.
I’m going to Bangkok, Pattaya, Nakhon Si Tammarat, Kalasin, Roi Et, Udon Thani, Buriram , Nong Khai .
Bangkok, Pattaya first then the rest of the places in no particular order. I’m going in Feb 19 to end of April. I’m also going to Hanoi March 15 for about 5-6 days.
I’m thinking of flying into Buriram from Bangkok then bus it the rest of the way. I prefer to be in Nong Khai mid April so I can jump over to Laos for a day or two to renew my visa coming back to Thailand.
Nakhon Si Tammarat is interrupting the flow as it’s in the opposite direction.
I think you’re right about the bus. I found one Yellow bus but cannot book online.
I’ve taken buses before from Buriram, Roi Et, so I do know there are buses I just wanted to be sure.

kleener,
it looks like you'll arrive in Thailand just as i am wrapping up my next trip, but no overlapping destinations, at least this time. Nong Khai is one of my favorites, however.
you've got an interesting itinerary, with the potential to visit lots of old Khmer-era ruins, if you are into such things. and yes, Nakhon Si Tammarat is definitely the odd province out along your route. what is so important to take you all the way south?

Quite an itinerary but all worth it! Have stayed in Khon Kaen for a couple months. A very laid back place but had great memories.
