Solo offers a broad range of accommodation, though for budget digs don’t expect the likes of Yogyakarta’s funky guesthouses, here it’s more low-key and old-school. You’ll find most backpacker style accommodation in the lanes off Jalan Yos Sudarso. Charming traditional-styled midrange guesthouses, more upmarket options too, as well as chain-style hotels are dotted around the city. If you wish to walk to most of Solo’s places of interest choose accommodation in the city centre.
