Travel to Goa in December when the whole world is there celebrating Christmas and New Year. Scuba diving is famous in Goa and surely doable with a lot of other fun activities. When you are in Goa, book a taxi from Bharat Taxi Goa for a hassle-free ride. Then, travel around the city visiting some beautiful churches and old European architecture. When you are in Goa, try the Goan cuisine, it's fantastic. One other thing to enjoy there is the nightlife. Curlies is one of the best places to hang o ...

PADI Open Water Thailand December
Posted by smokyjoe on 24/8/2012 at 01:40Hi, I'm planning to do a PADI Open Water course on a Thai island early this December. I know Koh Tao is the most popular place to do it, but I understand that it may not be the best weather wise at this time of year. I've been looking at doing it on Koh Lipe instead. Koh Tao is cheaper, but I'm not too concerned about the price difference. Would you advise doing it on Koh Tao or Koh Lipe (or another island) in early December? I will only have about 8 or 9 days on Thai islands, so the scenery/a ...

Diving/snorkeling with sharks in August
Posted by Aehui777 on 23/4/2017 at 06:23Hello guys, I'm new to this forum and I have just earned my PADI OWD. So I'm planning a 2-3 vacation in SE Asia. I've been to Thailand before but I want a new destination. Do you happen to know where we can dive or snorkel with sharks in SE Asia in August? Any recommendations in terms of scuba diving destinations generally? What are the pros and cons of each destination that you might think could be interesting for me (costs, weather, crowded or not, etc.) My ideal destination would be somew ...

I couldn't find a forum that fits this question. I'm posting here because I plan to scuba and land tour in several southeast Asian countries starting in December 2016. I am an American in the U.S.A. Because I prefer maximum flexibility in traveling. I typically buy one-way tickets. However, I've noticed several Asian countries, such as Thailand and the Philippines, require round-trip or through-trip tickets for entry as a tourist. I've learned from contacting the embassies that this is a hard-f ...

Hi guys Can anybody suggest a good place to do your DM. I am already Advanced certified and want to do a DM. No real intention on working as a DM immediately, so the reasoning of "Do it where you want to work" does not apply. The most important factors for me is: - Great dive location: Variety, healthy coral, good water conditions - Good teaching - Beautiful surroundings Things like a pumping party scene is not that important for me. Thanx!! ...

Best Dive Locations in Vietnam - Nov/Dec
Posted by N45H on 26/4/2015 at 04:29Hey everyone, I'm planning a 3 week trip through Vietnam in late November, early December and hoping to get a few dives in. We'll be hitting all the main places including Nha Trang which we've already flagged for a potential dive, but I've read mixed reviews. I'm aware Vietnam isn't renowned for amazing diving but I'm just looking for something relatively good. I'm interested in hearing from people who have dived in Nha Trang, Phu Cuoc and Con Dao. We're planning on checking Phu Cuoc out, but ...

Diving in Malaysia - Early March
Posted by TravelMoo on 18/2/2015 at 23:10Hi, I'm looking to do some diving inMalaysia during the first week of March. I'm fairly inexperienced - just qualified for my Open Water a few weeks ago. It seems like Tioman is the most recommended spot but I think I will be there on the shoulder of monsoon season. I'm a bit nervous about high currents etc and was wondering if anyone has dived there at that time of year and can tell me if it was okay? Alternatively if you have any other suggestions that would be great! Thanks! ...

one-day dive without certification in Koh Tao
Posted by FaceTheHorizon on 2/6/2013 at 13:10Hello... I previously did a one-day scuba dive with an instructor off of Cairns at the Great Barrier Reef. This trip, I'm traveling with a friend who is PADI certified, but I don't have the time to complete the whole course, either here at home or in Thailand. So I'm looking for recommendations of good dive operators located in Koh Tao who offer one-day outings that allow me to dive in the Gulf and not just a pool. (Yes, I've done some Google-ing already; I just wanted to see what users here h ...

Finding scuba gear in Bangkok?
Posted by Sampan on 29/9/2009 at 06:40Hello forum, Finally Bangkok! I've been here for a week now and i absolutely love it! I'm leaving for Surat Thani/Krabi early next week and was thinking that it might be a good idea to find things like goggles and snorkel here first. Does anyone know where to look for stuff like that? Or, would it even be easier to find once in ST/Krabi perhaps? Any help is highly appreciated. // ...
