Yangshuo: Most Beautiful Mountains in China?
Posted by ryanjhall on 8/10/2018 at 08:07I recently spent a month travelling around China and an absolute highlight was my 5 days in Yangshuo. The mountains and the river are absolutely stunning. I couldn't find any detailed video travel guides online, so I decided to put one together myself. I travelled as a backpacker, so I've covered hostel prices, getting around and the best things to do (including how to get up to the infamous TV Tower viewpoint). If you are interested, I'll leave the link here. Hopefully somebody will find it u ...

Hi, we are looking at a trip to China in August. Came across this crowd offering a package https://www.euroventure.com/china-and-hong-kong-group-tour-25-days/ Reason we are looking at organised tours is a good few people we spoke to recently said they found it difficult to organise and arrange travel within China and found locals to be standoffish and unhelpful. But we still want to go and see it all for ourselves. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations for group/organised tours fo ...

Hey. I'm looking for a city in China to live in for a month.. I don't really like moving around too much. I prefer to get somewhat integrated into the areas I'm living for a while. My visa in Thailand is either up in 2 weeks or I may extend and stay an 30 days before I head to china. So I've got time to find somewhere suitable. Not Beijing or Shanghai though. I was thinking about Lijiang or Chengdu ? I hear Lijiang is a little expensive though, I travel long term so I'd rather find somewher ...

Onward travel for China (VISA & Border crossing requirements) + Mongolian travel
Posted by Haggis101 on 24/6/2017 at 20:32Hello, We are wondering what we should do for our proof of onward travel. We will be applying for our visa in Hanoi and won't leave for a few days after applying for it. I have heard of the service fly onward.com where you rent a ticket, but I think it would end up costing us a bit if we rent the ticket for the visa application 24hour rental ($26 AUD) and then rent the tickets for our border crossing 48hour rental ($44.87 AUD) we would need to spend $70 AUD on rental tickets. (This is for t ...

2-3 Weeks in China - Beijing to Chengdu, Shanghai to Yangshuo - To Ambitious?
Posted by aszasz94 on 26/12/2016 at 22:49Hi there, I was looking for some advice about my upcoming trip to China. I am going to Japan for 2 weeks January 18th and plan to leave sometime in early February. I have read in many guide books and heard it would be best to travel China in March. This way I could avoid any left-over New Year scramble and get some better/warmer weather. Is it worth it to head to South Asia and wait until March by touring Vietnam, Laos or Cambodia or will mid-February be ok. Secondly, I was looking for some ad ...

Hello guys, I arrived in Shanghai some weeks ago and will stay here for a couple of months to do a student exchange. Anyway, I recently walked through the Bund and passed by a hotel/art exhibition at the 'Swatch Art Peace Hotel'. They currently have a very nice exhibition, I guess it's called 'Faces & Traces'. My place is very near to the campus of the Fudan university. Do you know by chance any similar interesting museums or art exhibition in that area? Cheers, Scotty ...
